Texas Holdem Software

Did you know most if not all professional poker players use some kind of texas holdem software to help analyze their own play and their competitors.
What kind of poker software do they use?
Relax and I'll tell you :)
Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.

Brief Overview of Different Holdem Software
Hold'em Manager is awesome. It gives you practically everything you need in terms of statistics on your own play and your opponents.
Find leaks you never knew could exist. Find ways to exploit your opponents.
Okay, okay. I'm starting to sound like a salesman. But I really recommend you get Hold'em Manager. It's great :)
The Huds
A poker HUD displays the stats you have on other players on the table you are playing. Hold'em Manager has it's own HUD integrated so no worries there.
Game Selection Software
Usually texas holdem software like this work in the way that you first have to datamine (not all poker sites allow it). Datamining means gathering statistics on players while you aren't playing.
The only one I use for this is the software over at SpadeIt.
Equity & Poker Odds Calculators
The best calculators I have found are free. The ones I recommend and use are:
PokerStove - Great for calculating equities on hands/ranges vs. hands/ranges pre-flop, flop, turn or river. Highly recommended, I use it all the time.
StoxEV - A more complicated program and more advanced than PokerStove. Takes awhile to learn how to use but extremely valuable once you do. Extremely recommended that you learn how to use it.
Pokerazor - Basically the same program as StoxEV but different. I prefer StoxEV but check this one out, you never know.
The Games
There are a lot of games out there that will help a beginner get started with basic things like pot odds, recognizing the board, reading your hand and so on. Although I do recommend that you practice at a real poker site.
Most people have a good internet connection nowadays so just head on to the recommended poker room and start playing.
Summary
If you want to learn how to really win a lot then you almost have to learn how to use the software I've recommended.
If you're totally new to the game then just keep on playing and consider buying Hold'em Manager, it will prove useful to you in the long run.
On the other hand, if you've played poker for awhile and don't even have Hold'em Manager, then something is wrong!
