3C Texas Holdem Poker
So what is 3c texas holdem poker anyway? A reader sent me an e-mail requesting me to review this game and to give some links to where it can be found.
I decided to take him up on that request, I went searching for 3c texas holdem and found out that it was a small software program for texas holdem poker.
In this game you can choose between Limit, No-Limit and Pot-Limit Texas Holdem. You can see a screenshot of the game when I was playing it by clicking the image to the left.
The Good
1. It's cheap if you decide to buy, only $14.
2. You can take all the time you want when making decisions.
3. You see how big the pot is and how much you have to call.
4. You can choose between Limit, No-Limit and Pot-Limit.
5. You can adjust the speed of the other players.
6. You can choose different opponents, ranging from tough to the passive fish.
7. You can choose stakes, number of opponents, initial cash and number of bets per player
The Bad
1. The software seems kind of slow on occasions.
2. The cards are not dealt at random, you make good hands too often and for novice players this might make you believe that it simulates reality when in fact it is far away from it.
3. I don't really like the graphics.
Conclusion
Is it worth it? I would much prefer learning in a real environment like the Pokerstars $0.02/$0.04 game. Because that way you would learn how it really works in terms of getting a feel of how often you get decent cards and so forth.
On the other hand, if you do not have an internet connection you might want to look into buying 3C Texas Holdem Poker because you can practice without paying for your access to the internet.
But once you've learned the basics you should move to a poker room as quickly as possible. If you need help choosing a poker room I would advise you read my Texas Holdem Poker Room Reviews.
